Kemble sits just south of Cirencester, with the old Fosse Way tracing the edge of the parish. From the village it is about 14.5 miles to our Fairford workshop, near enough a 23 minute drive, so while we are not next door, the run is an easy one. Head up the A429 into Cirencester, swing onto the A417, and you are with us before long.
A village with more comings and goings than most
For a small place, Kemble keeps the roads busy. The railway station puts mainline trains to London Paddington right on the doorstep, so plenty of commuters drive in, park up and leave their cars for the day. Just up the lane sits Cotswold Airport, the former RAF Kemble that once played home to the Red Arrows, and it still pulls in traffic of every kind. Add the walkers heading out to Thames Head to find the source of the River Thames, and the village sees a fair bit of movement for its size.
All that coming and going brings the usual knocks. A bumper nudged in the station car park, a wheel arch kerbed on a narrow lane, a stray trolley by the shops. Whatever has happened, we will put it right so it looks like it never did.
Repairs for Kemble drivers
We take on the full range of body and paint work, including:
- Accident and collision repair after a bigger bump
- Dents, scratches and scuffs and bumper repairs
- Stone chip repair for the marks the A429 leaves behind
We are independent and work on all makes, so whatever you drive, we can usually help. There is a good deal of rural and equestrian trade around here too, so we also look after horseboxes and the odd motorhome.
Getting your car to us
You can drop the car in whenever suits, or we can arrange collection and delivery if the timing is awkward, which a lot of train commuters find handy. The route is simple: leave Kemble on the A429 past the spire of All Saints Church, run into Cirencester, then pick up the A417 down to Fairford. If your insurer has been in touch after a prang, we can take that on as well, and you can choose your own repairer rather than be sent somewhere you did not pick.
On the way over you will pass through Cirencester, only about four miles up the A429, and you may go near Tetbury too. Had a scrape near Kemble? Give us a ring on 01285 238 153 or ask for a quote.
