Paint takes a hammering. Years of sun, road salt, car park dings and the odd trolley all chip away at it, and sooner or later a car starts to look older than it is. Our job is to turn that back. Whether it’s a single faded panel or a colour change from top to bottom, we strip it back where needed, get the surface right, and lay fresh paint that looks like it left the factory that way.
Refinishing we take on
People come to us for all sorts of paint jobs, big and small:
- Single panels after a scrape, dent or repair
- Multi panel and full vehicle resprays
- Faded, oxidised or lacquer peeling paint brought back
- Colour changes, including switching shade entirely
- Tidying up after bumper work or accident damage
- Sealing and painting over stone chip damage before it spreads
Fancier finishes, like a two tone or a custom design, sit with our custom paintwork side. Just ask and we’ll point you the right way.
Getting the colour right
This is where a respray is won or lost. Two cars off the same line can wear differently after a few summers, so we don’t just trust the code on the plate. We read it, mix the base, then tint it by eye to match how your paint actually looks now. Before a drop goes on the car, we spray a test card and hold it up against the bodywork in proper light. Only when it’s bang on do we carry on.
In the booth
Once the prep is done, the panel or car goes into our spray booth. Heating and filtered air keep dust and grit out of the wet paint, which is the difference between a finish that’s smooth and one that’s gritty. Coats go on evenly, cure properly, and come out with a deep, even gloss rather than orange peel.
A finish that lasts
Good paint starts long before the colour. We take time over the bare metal, filling, sanding and priming so there’s nothing for the topcoat to telegraph through later. Get that right and the result holds up for years, not months.
We respray cars, vans and bigger vehicles for drivers across the county, from Cirencester and Fairford to Burford and over towards Swindon. If your car has been in a knock and you’re sorting an insurance claim, remember you can pick who does the work.
