Carterton may be in Oxfordshire and we may be in Gloucestershire, but the two are closer than the map makes them feel. Follow the A361 Burford Road out through Lechlade and you reach our Fairford workshop in about 20 minutes. For a town without a big body shop of its own, that is a short trip for a proper repair.
An RAF town that works its cars hard
Carterton grew up around RAF Brize Norton, the largest station in the Royal Air Force, and that shapes the place. There is a constant flow of vehicles in and out of the base, families on postings coming and going, and the day to day rush around the domed clock tower at the centre of town. Add the supermarket pull of Asda, Morrisons and Aldi, and the car parks stay busy.
