Stroud is a proper drive from our Fairford workshop, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. You are looking at around 22 miles and a little over half an hour on the road. For a job worth doing well, plenty of Stroud drivers decide that is a trip worth taking, and for everyone else there is collection and delivery by arrangement so the car comes to us and goes back to you.
A town built on steep streets
Stroud sits where the Five Valleys all meet, and the lie of the land shows in the driving. Streets climb and twist, parking spaces are tight, and a steep hill plus a damp morning is exactly how a low bumper meets a kerb. The town centre keeps cars busy too, with shoppers circling the Five Valleys Shopping Centre and the crowds that pour in for Stroud Farmers Market, one of the best known markets in the country. Around landmarks like the Subscription Rooms, that listed lump of Cotswold stone in the middle of it all, the lanes were never built for modern traffic.
So we see the usual run of damage from this way: a scuffed alloy from a tight valley road, a clipped wing mirror, a car park ding outside the shops.

Getting your car to us
The simplest route is the A419 corridor, which runs back through Cirencester and points you towards Fairford and the A417 for the last stretch. If that is more than you fancy driving, leave it with us and we will arrange collection and delivery instead. We also look after nearby Tetbury, so we know this corner of the county well.
